Caol Ila 50 Year Old 1968 Private Collection Gordon & MacPhail 70cl. Caol Ila 50 Year Old 1968 - Private Collection (Gordon & MacPhail)An extraordinary release from Gordon & MacPhail's Private Collection, a 50 year old single malt from the Caol Ila Distillery - the oldest Caol Ila bottled to date. The whisky was distilled on Islay back in 1968 and left to mature in a single refill sherry hogshead for half of a century, before being bottled in 2018 at 52.5% ABV (which is particularly hefty for a 50 year old whisky). Only 199 bottles were produced, and comes complete with a really beautiful wooden presentation box.
