Glenmorangie 18 Year Old "Extremely Rare" 70cl. A highly distinguished 18-year-old expression from the Highland distillery, officially designated as "Extremely Rare" to reflect its limited production capacity within the core range. Glenmorangie is famous for possessing the tallest copper pot stills in Scotland, which ensure only the lightest and purest vapors condense into spirit. This expression undergoes a meticulous dual-maturation process: it spends its first 15 years resting in American white oak ex-bourbon casks before a portion of the liquid is transferred into Spanish Oloroso sherry casks for an additional three years of finishing. When the two components are finally reunited, they create an incredibly vibrant, well-rounded profile bursting with notes of caramelized grapefruit, dried figs, rich honey, and a delicate floral finish.
