Auchroisk 47 Years Old 1974 2021 Prima & Ultima 70cl. The very first Cask to be filled at Auchroisk when distilling began on 15th January 1974, this cask has been kept back for many years for its character and its rarity. Remarkably rich and spicy, with fruity aromas and smooth flavours. This very exclusive expression was bottled on 26th January 2021 from a Single Refill European Oak Butt and is bottle 194 of 382 produced.

Lagavulin 28 Years Old 1992 2021 Prima & Ultima 70cl. This Lagavulin was the first of its kind from a small experimental batch matured entirely on Islay in five Freshly Charred American Oak Hogsheads, it is a very rare Lagavulin. All five were filled on the same day and were bottled on the 20th January 2021.This bottle is 0201 of 1081 produced.

Linkwood 39 Years Old 1981 2021 Prima & Ultima 70cl. This particular Linkwood comes from a special small batch matured for 12 Years in Refill Casks, then set aside to double mature for more than 25 Years in four casks of new Pedro Ximenez Oloroso seasoned American Oak. It is rare to use new American Oak, even rarer to season it with PX/Oloroso, and rarer still to carry out a long double maturation in these type of casks. This release was bottled 25th January 2021 and is bottle 168 of 701 produced.

The Singleton of Glendullan 28 Years Old 1992 2021 Prima & Ultima 70cl. Described by Master Blender Maureen Robinson as “ one of the most extraordinary mature Singletons we have ever created. The two small ex-Madeira Barriques that held it were the subject of a one-off trial that I helped design, and I have tended them with special care. Originally distilled in 1992, the whisky was first matured in refill wood, then double-matured in these Madeira casks for another fourteen years. This expression was bottled on 19th January 2021 and of the 414 produced this is bottle 140.

Talisker 41 Years Old 1979 2021 Prima & Ultima 70cl. This release was selected from the last 4 1979 Refill American Oak Hogsheads that spent their time in the storm lashed warehouse, No.4, Talisker’s closet store to the Atlantic Ocean. The whisky was bottled on 26th January 2021, with 556 bottles released, this is bottle 174.

Brora 40 Years Old 1980 2021 Prima & Ultima 70cl. The Brora Distillery closed in 1983 and very little of its whisky now remains. The three Hogsheads of this superb example are the very last of the Brora 1980 casks, distilled during the golden age of Peated Brora. They were stored separately for safe keeping and reunited for this final 1980 release. Bottled on the 18th January 2021, this is 196 of 505 produced.

Mortlach 25 Years Old 1995 2021 Prima & Ultima 70cl. It comes from a single very special 1995 Pedro Ximenez Oloroso seasoned European Oak Butt. Not merely the last of its kind, it was always marked for greatness during its time maturing in Warehouse No. 3 at Mortlach distillery. Known as ‘The Lone Wolf’ because it stood out from the pack as being exceptionally complex and richly individual in character. Bottled on the 19th of January 2021 with 454 bottles produced this being 192.

Convalmore 36 Years Old 1984 2021 Prima & Ultima 70cl. This release was taken from 3 Refill American Oak Hogsheads filled on Thursday 22nd November 1984, a matter of months before the distillery closed forever. A fine farewell, very little of the malt remains, which harnesses the golden, smooth character and rich fruitiness of Convalmore. This expression was bottled on the 25th January 2021 producing 647 bottles, this is bottle 175.
